We are the local group of Extinction Rebellion based in Birmingham. Our organisation is independent from national XR in the UK, but we all adhere to the principles and values of XR. We have a flat hierarchy, and all tasks are taken up voluntarily by our members. This means you can get involved as much or as little as you like.
We organise actions in and around Birmingham, and join in on larger national actions such as the upcoming Autumn Rebellion in London. We give outreach talks and host training for new members to get involved. Our well-being and regenerative culture group looks out for everyone involved and works on creating an environment in which passion as well as grief can be shared. We are always looking for new people to join these activities, as well as to support our media or finance team, or simply to help keep our organisation running.
Our general meetings will now be held online, on Zoom.
