This weekend we headed to Acocks Green to chat with people about the Council’s inaction on the climate crisis, specifically on the Tyseley incinerator. Birmingham has one of the worst rates of recycling in the country and the majority of our waste is sent to Tyseley where it is burned, releasing harmful particulates into the air and of course huge amounts of CO2.

Brum Beats made some noise and we had a striking banner, as well as postcards that people could write to send to their local councillors asking them to vote against the renewal of the incinerator’s contract next year.
