We were back at Barclays again yesterday, and it wasn’t an April Fools joke! The Red Rebels, famous in XR for their striking red costumes, dramatic makeup and eerie ‘1000 yard stare’, visited Barclays on the High Street and the branch on Colmore Row.
They didn’t get a very warm welcome at the High Street branch despite silently and peacefully entering to show their grief and sorrow at Barclays’s disgraceful fossil fuel investments. The Colmore Row branch was much quieter and the chaperones had some great conversations with customers there. As well as distributing Barclays leaflets we also took the opportunity to share news of the upcoming Rebellion!
There should be more Red Rebel action down in London from 9th-17th – see if you can spot any Brum Reds there!
